Tarps on windrows- your logo here...We have completed two sessions of grinding yard debris material and we are learning and improving as we go. From the first session we learned that on no-wind days the grinder can kick up dust.  Since we had composting material on the second grind we needed to protect it. One insight that actually worked out well was to tarp the piles ahead of grinding. Luckily, Todd from Meadow Outdoor advertising had been supplying us with used billboards as tarp material. We didn’t know how they would perform, but after the grind, it was astounding how well they worked. Other facilities spend thousands of dollars on compost covers, but old billboards did the trick wonderfully.
